About the Online Research Center

The GLOBAL UNIVERSITY ONLINE RESEARCH CENTER is designed to help you find resources in a variety of ways by browsing through categories or using basic or advanced searches. Any given resource may be categorized in different ways.

Browse Subjects categorizes resources according to a modified Library of Congress classification system under four main subjects: BIBLICAL STUDIES, CHRISTIAN MINISTRY, CHURCH HISTORY, and THEOLOGY. Each main subject is further divided into logical sub-categories, and so on.

Browse General Resources lists additional general subjects that are broader than the scope of the four main subjects. These include resources like devotional works, dictionaries and encyclopedias, and writers’ resources.

Browse Courses categorizes resources based on their usefulness relative to specific Global University courses. Courses are classified according to three GU academic levels of study of the Bible (Continuing Education), School of Bible and Theology (Undergraduate Studies), and School of Graduate Studies (Seminary Level).

Browse Restricted Resources is a future category that will allow users to browse resources that are only available to Global University undergraduate and graduate students due to licensing restrictions.

Search Resources allows you to do a basic search for words or phrases among the resource titles and descriptions.

Advanced Search allows you to limit or expand your search based on various criteria, including nine specific resource attributes.
